I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
