The sports network Cuts Ties with Analyst Sanchez, Replaces Him with Former QB Brees
Fox Sports has terminated its association with game analyst Mark Sanchez amidst his criminal charges, multiple outlets confirmed this past Friday.
"It is confirmed that Mark Sanchez has ceased with the network," a Fox spokesperson commented. "We will offer no further comment at this time."
Assuming the analyst role will be an ex- professional quarterback, Drew Brees, as per the information. He is expected to work alongside play-by-play voice Adam Amin and has a contract to provide commentary through the 2026 season.
Details of the Incident Involving Sanchez
The 38-year-old Sanchez had been sidelined since he was stabbed and later taken into custody after an altercation in an alley in Indianapolis with a 69-year-old truck driver. He had traveled to call the 5 October game between the Colts and Las Vegas Raiders but was admitted to the hospital and replaced that week by Brady Quinn.
He is charged with felony battery as well as multiple lesser charges. The felony charge could result in of 1-6 years in prison, if convicted, and he has pleaded not guilty in the Indiana court.
Brees' Professional Background
